Launched on July 7, 2014, My Hero Academia captured the hearts of millions by chronicling the inspiring tale of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they strived to become the next generation of heroes.
The final chapter, issue 430, was released on August 4, 2024. This chapter concludes the series’ extraordinary story, showing fans what their favorite heroes and characters are doing at the end of the series.

Chapters 424 to 430 served as the manga’s epilogue, providing fans with a glimpse into the heroes’ lives following the conclusion of the Final War arc, in which Shigaraki Tomura and All for One were ultimately defeated.
In Chapter 425, we witnessed the Class 1-A students return to U.A. High School after recuperating from their injuries.
Yuga Aoyama, who had been feeding information to All for One since the beginning of the series, decided to leave Class 1-A and U.A. High. Hitoshi Shinso, a Class 2-A student mentored by Shota Aizawa, took his place.

Chapter 426 featured the Todoroki family visiting Dabi, formerly known as Toya Todoroki, before he turned villain. Due to incurable injuries from the Final War arc, Dabi was on a slow march to death.
Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) promised to be with Toya every day to make amends for his harsh treatment of Toya. The family eventually reached out to Toya, who even apologized to Shoto.
This chapter also showed Hawks catching up with Lady Nagant, having worked as double agents for the government but choosing different paths afterward.
In Chapter 427, Deku confronted Spinner, one of the last remnants of the League of Villains. Spinner believed Shigaraki was the villain’s version of a hero. He wanted to write a book so the League of Villains would not be forgotten.
Deku suggested making it a comic book, and assured Spinner that he would never forget Shigaraki and the League of Villains.

Chapter 428 shifted the focus back to the Class 1-A students, now idolized by new students for their efforts in the Final War arc. The heroes were seen helping with restoration efforts in Japan. Despite the positive atmosphere, Ochaco Uraraka left a note for her classmates saying she needed to head home.
In Chapter 429, Deku tracked down Ochaco, sensing she was dealing with post-traumatic stress from the Final War arc. He expressed how she had always been the hero he turned to, always thinking of others before herself. Deku and the rest of Class 1-A reassured her that she was an integral part of their group.
Chapter 430, the final chapter of the series, featured an eight-year time skip, showing the heroes’ lives.
We learned that the remnants of One for All had left Deku, making him quirkless again. However, this did not stop him from helping the next generation of heroes as a teacher at U.A. High.
A group of high school students, eager to join the hero course, looked up to their role models. We met Dai, a student lacking confidence in his quirk, who feared it might not be enough to get into the hero course.
The chapter also highlighted Mezo Shoji (Tentacole), who had become a famous hero for peacefully resolving conflicts surrounding discrimination based on body type, earning him the Imamura Peace Prize.
Meanwhile, Ochaco, Ingenium (Tensei Ida), Tsuyu Asui (Froppy), and Momo Yaoyorozu (Creati) had become hero ambassadors, visiting different elementary schools to talk to children about their quirks.
Aizawa informed Deku that Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki had become top heroes in the country. While leaving the U.A. High campus, Deku encountered Dai, who gave him hope that he, too, could be a hero.
At the end of the manga, Toshinori Yagi (All Might) gives Deku a special suit that grants him the ability to become a hero again. All Might explained that Deku’s Class 1-A friends, led by Bakugo, funded the suit developed by Mei Hatsume and All Might’s friends overseas.
All Might told Deku he earned this new power fair and square. The final panel showed Deku and his Class 1-A friends jumping into action with the caption, “This is the tale of how we’ll keep reaching out for help all time.”
