Around the same time, fans saw a character named Dai introduced in the story. This young boy wants to become a Hero, just like All Might, Deku, Dynamight, and many other powerful Heroes. However, 8 years after the war, the world has moved forward so much that the rates of villains have dwindled greatly while Heroes have stabilized. This means that becoming a Hero is now much more difficult than ever before. As such, for young Dai, becoming a Hero is more difficult than ever before, especially with his Quirk of being able to produce plates from his hair. Among his classmates, he certainly isn't one to shine, but he still wants to become a Hero. This is reminiscent of Midoriya at the beginning of his journey in My Hero Academia. It would only make sense to have Dai meet with Izuku, and they certainly did when both of them went to All Might's statue.

Izuku imparted the message to him that he could become a Hero, too, inspiring the next generation in the process. Passing on wisdom was supposed to be his new life and the new norm; however, that is where Horikoshi pulled off a shocking moment.
