“The Prisoner’s Journey made me rethink the trajectory of my life and how I can improve from here on out.” Through participation in The Prisoner's Journey, Josué was compelled to confront his painful past, but found hope through program teachings. “The program opened my mind to understand that there are people who are suffering much more than me." Josué has embraced the transformative power of the Gospel, now recognizing that true happiness is in the pursuit of a life aligned with Christ’s teachings. “I want to let Him act in my life. I’ll succeed because I know He has all power. He is the one who helps me,” he said. Prisoners like Josué are being transformed through our in-prison programs, like The Prisoner's Journey, every day. If you feel called to be a part of that mission – bringing light to some of the darkest places on earth – visit https://lnkd.in/eAC8nXUC give today.

Receiving an education is one of the essential building blocks to help children realize a future beyond the cycle of crime. With a primary provider absent, families face new challenges and daily hardship, leaving many children of prisoners financially unable to afford basic school supplies. Together, we ensure that vulnerable children of prisoners receive the resources, tools and support needed to thrive in school. To date, our children's programs have provided education support to more than 17,000 children across the world. Learn more at pfi.org

Miguel is one of more than 803,000 prisoners across the world who have graduated from The Prisoner's Journey (TPJ). This transformational program is having a lasting impact on those in prison and changing prison communities – for good. Officials at Miguel's prison in Santiago, Chile, reported that there were an average of three homicides per month in the prison before the program's launch there in 2015. As prisoners have participated in and graduated from the program, violence has drastically reduced. There have been no homicides in the prison since 2020 – praise God! Through both The Child's Journey and PromisePath, children and caregivers receive age-appropriate scripture resources that are used to help children navigate through life's toughest difficulties while growing spiritually. These resources are not only helping the children learn what God's Word says, but how to apply it to their lives and remain on the right path in the future. 🌟 These children in Nigeria are shown with their precious new scripture resources, either Treasure Hunt Bibles or Living the Story (a publication that contains Bible stories, activities and other stories about children in similar situation).

Tomás and Jakub, two young drug addicts in the Czech Republic, became friends immediately once they met. They started spending lots of time together, selling drugs and supporting one another. The drugs eventually took their toll on the men and started tearing them apart, destroying the core of their being. Their characters and priorities changed. They started badmouthing, stealing from and generally hurting each other. They hated each other to such an extent that revenge and retaliation followed, leading to both of their incarcerations. Even though they ended up in different prisons, the hatred didn’t stop. They spent their evenings thinking about how they would get back at each other when they got out. They had no idea that their paths would cross sooner than they imagined – standing side-by-side, face-to-face in the same prison as they had both enrolled in #ThePrisonersJourney. They began sharing their lives, explaining each other’s point of view and apologizing to each other. The idea of forgiveness started taking shape. With each subsequent meeting, their relationship flourished. They started cooperating and reading the Bible together. Out of hatred came a new, true and pure friendship – one without drugs. They promised they would pursue revenge no more and were sad the program was ending. Not only did they learn about Jesus, but they also forgave each other and became friends once more.
